The most famous wines are produced in France’s Ganyi. quot;Ganyiquot; is a most old-fashioned translation of the region of French Cognac, quot;Ganquot; is a transliteration of letter quot;cquot;, and quot;Yiquot; is the intended tone of quot;naquot;, but in Chinese it refers to a set of population gathering city.
In 1779, Poet Samuel Johnson had written a poem praising the wine of Ganyi, i.e. Cognac. The Chinese people translated it into a five-character poem body said: quot;grapes to the young man, bowl wine benefits adults. The only and most important brandy, leave as gifts to my hero.quot; You can see from this poem that Brandy had been one of the most noble, most mellow, most commendable wines then.
Cognac is region of France north to Bordeaux, the most famous Charente River meandering flow from here. In the years of 276 AD to 282 AD, the Roman emperor Provence brought the technology of grapes cultivation into France. When it was 12th century, Cognac had become a major producing area of wine. Business people from Netherlands and Scandinavian came here to handle cargo of salt, and they deal trade in wine by the way.
At that time, inefficient wind bout made sailing on the sea very time-consuming, and also made low degrees of wines go and reduce alcohol-degree gas on the way, so while in shore it needed to do extraction and alcohol distillation again. Such wine after distillation is just brandy. Because of the distillation, Brandy is more mellow than wine in the market, and is also more popular.
French wine merchants saw the huge profits in Brandy, so they started to purchase equipment and directly made production of brandy in the local, and then in the 17th to the 18th century, Ganyi (i.e. cognac) was on the emergence of a large number of well-known brewery owners. In 1715, Martell moved to Cognac from remote Jersey. In 1765, Richard Hennessy coming from Ireland also came here and set up a brewery company, then, James de Raman, Thomas Smythii and others created its own wine brand in cognac too.
